Wedding Day

My brother Chance FINALLY decided to marry his beautiful Brooke on Saturday.  It was such a wonderful moment for us all.  Brooke is finally my "sister" and I couldn't be happier.  She is wonderful, amazing, loving, kind, thoughtful and the best mom ever to our cutest little Maddox.  Chance and Brooke had a very sweet ceremony with the backdrop of Zion Canyon.  I don't think I have ever seen Chance so happy ever before in my life.  His grin was true grin and I will never forget it.  Maddox was so cute, during the ceremony he said, "this is a good day" what a cute boy he is.  I saw him later in the bathroom and he told me that he was wearing his wedding dress.  It was priceless.  After the ceremony we had a great dinner and a fun reception with lots of great treats.  It was fun being able to visit with all my family in one place.  I love my family and my new sister Brooke!

GIRLS camp 2011 "Mission Possible"

Ok my 5th girls camp was a hit.  We were sent on missions and we were sent to the Philippines.  We had to find out all we could about the Philippines before we left.  We found out that there are tons and tons of frogs everywhere, they make purses and all kinds of things with them.  We made frogs our mascot and Lora McLaughlin made the cutest frog glass beaded necklaces and then Joyce Beagly made the cutest frog purses for everyone.  Rosella made the biggest frog you ever saw as our mascot and we named her Lilly.  She was stolen a few times at camp but we found her.  Rosella also made everyone a mug with a frog on it, they are so so cute.  We also were taught a very cool Filipino stick dance which we performed for our country's show case.  I have to say our showcase was the best one, thanks to the Hirschi girls who taught it to us.  A few other things we did were, rock climbing (which I made it to the top) I was very proud of myself.  Zip line (which I survived), and canoeing (which I loved).  I loved being there with Sydney to capture all the wonderful moments of girls camp.  What a great experience it was I don't know if I will go again next year....lets see if I get asked.
Young Women just after we performed our Filipino Stick Dance.

My car broke down on the way to kolob, these strong grils had to push my van up a vey steep mountain.

Enjoying the day under the shade.

Caitlyn doing the zip line.

The cute glass frog Lora made for everyone.  I loved mine, they all were different.

Canoeing

We spoiled the Uniters (5th and 6th years) while all the younger girls were on a hike.  Lora made them crowns and we had a tea party for our princesses.

Where the Wild Things Are

Our good friend, Jason, came down from Provo to visit and asked if he could take Dylan and Jackson and do two little photo sessions;   the first session, Heroes, was Dylan and Jackson being a few of their favorite superheroes just being boys.  The second session, Where the Wild Things Are, was Dylan acting the part of Max, otherwise known as the Wild Thing.  They turned out so good I have to show everyone they brought a tear to my eye.

WWF Kolob Mountain

I've decided that nothing makes you feel more relaxed than spending the evening at Kolob. We had so much fun enjoying the beauty of God's creations today. It was short and sweet but it was wonderful. We left Hurricane at 5:00pm and traveled to my favorite place when I was a wee lad. I remember going up to Grandma and Grandpa Cannon's trailer/property almost every weekend. We had so much fun explorinig and fishing and relaxing in the summer air. Now my Mom and Mike own the property almost exactly where we used to run and play. I love it there, it has to be one of my favorite places ever. I love being able to relax, make a "hirschi circle" (when you put all your chairs in a circle and visit) and enjoy everything around you. I missed Corry and Nicholas being there with us, (they are on a 20 mile hike/camp/scout adventure. Here are some wonderful pictures of our night.

As we were leaving I had Sydney take a picture of the sunset while driving.
