Spirt Week

I had to remember this cute boy and how he looked on this day. Skyler is a trooper and dares to be funny, dares to wear funny clothes, dares to be weird. The other kids do a little but he gets the award. I'll post the other pictures later. Here is Nerd day!

Tori Dawn Meikle Wedding (my niece)

My cute niece was married Sept 17th at the Pine Valley Chapel to Damon Andelin. They make such a cute couple and Damon treats her so well. I have to say I LOVE PINE VALLEY! I don't know why I haven't been up there ever in my life but I love it. The beauty that surrounds that beautiful mountain is awesome. The Chapel there is so cute I fell in love with it. I remember when Aunt Dianne found out that she was pregnant with Tori, she had just adopted Tammi and she was 6 months old when Aunt Dianne came into our house and my mom was in her bathroom getting ready and Aunt Dianne told her she was pregnant, what a special day. She looked beautiful and we had a great time with the family!

BrOkEn Arm and Oral Surgery

Saturday the 10th was a fun day.  We had tractors over digging and re building our rock wall in front of our yard ( hurray Hurray HURRAY) so that we can start the processes of getting some green grass in our front yard. Well Dylan was playing with the Hirschi boys on his bike that evening.  Zeb Hirschi decided to do a no hander and Dylan not being able to get out of the way ran right into his bike.  Dylan at that point flew off his bike and onto the fast approaching street.  I was gone for a quick moment and get a phone call.  Jackson said mom I think Dylan broke his arm.  I came right home and looked at his arm and knew we needed to head to IHC InstaCare.  I have to paint the picture Dylan had been playing in the mud/dirt/dust all day he was so so so dirty.  We have a book holding his arm he was in so much pain.  The doctor looks at it and says yep you broke your arm alright.  The doctor comes back into the room and said, "Dylan when did you take a bath last, last month?  I had to laugh and so did the nurse.  When it came time to getting his other wounds cleaned up the nurse said, "well I don't think this will be much good, he needs a good back".  We both had to laugh!  Well two days later the poor boy had to have oral surgery.  He had 3 sets of front teeth, 2 sets that were permanent.  The extracted 5 teeth and sewed him right up.  All he wanted to do was play in the sand outside our house so I told him he had to wait for 4 hours then out he went.  What a trooper.

Labor Day! and I mean LABOR DAY!

Today we went up to Kolob to help mom and Mike out on the property.  We worked and worked and worked and to quote my sister Amy, "Now that is what I call hard Labor"  We worked hard all day cutting limbs, dragging limbs, piling limbs, shedding limbs, cutting wood, stacking wood etc etc etc.  But we couldn't of asked for better weather, we were blessed with a slight mist of rain all day and over cast so IT WAS GORGEOUS!  The kids caught a Horny Toad thanks to Grandma's skills.  It was a fun day with Grandma and Grandpa.

Peach Days Baby!

My favorite time to live in Hurricane is when Peach Days is near. Peach days is so much fun. The excitement is in the air, I remember when I was young I would anticipate the "Washington County Fair" Now the anticipation is "Peach Day's it's what the Washington County Fair used to be but lots lots better. We had so much fun.

Corry had his "20" year reunion Friday and Saturday during Peach Days.  We had so much fun.  I was a tag along to my sister growing up so her friends are my friends (not by choice for them :)  Tiffany Kidd and all who helped out did an amazing job.  Friday we got together with everyone who wanted to come they had bounce houses for the kids and a pot luck dinner.  We sat and visited, it was fun to see those we hadn't seen for 10 - 20 years.  Saturday they had a float for the Peach Days Parade and then Saturday night they had a nice dinner for Adults.  We laughed and had a great time.  It was so so fun.  I remember when my mom had her 20 year reunion at our house in our back yard and I thought she was weird and old and now it's our turn.  I have my 20 year reunion next year and I'm weird too I guess!  Melanie Nelson is a Movie Star, she has been in a few church movies, Trisha brought a poster for her to sign it was so funny and we all laughed and watched her sign it. We felt privileged being in her presence. ; )
